नोकिया ब्रांड के स्मार्टफोन बनाने वाली कंपनी HMD Global भारत में अपना पहला HMD ब्रांड का स्मार्टफोन लॉन्च करने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है। आधिकारिक लॉन्च से पहले, फिनिश ब्रांड ने डिवाइस के नाम की पुष्टि की है। ब्रांड ने X पर एक प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से नाम चुना है। आने वाले HMD फोन को HMD Pulse के रीब्रांड के रूप में लॉन्च किए जाने का अनुमान है, जो पिछले महीने से यूरोप में उपलब्ध है। HMD Pulse को अमेरिका में HMD Vibe के रूप में लॉन्च किए जाने की उम्मीद है। पिछले हफ्ते, HMD इंडिया ने भारत में अपने पहले स्मार्टफोन के लॉन्च की घोषणा की और X पर #HMDNameOurSmartphone प्रतियोगिता शुरू की, जिसमें उपयोगकर्ताओं से नाम सुझाने के लिए कहा गया। इस अलग मार्केटिंग रणनीति ने ध्यान आकर्षित किया है क्योंकि इसे दर्शकों से कई प्रविष्टियां मिलीं,  यह हैंडसेट कुछ ही सप्ताह में देश में लॉन्च होने की पुष्टि हो गई है।

के एंट्री-लेवल हैंडसेट के तौर पर आने की उम्मीद है। यह एचएमडी पल्स का रीब्रांडेड वर्शन हो सकता है। बाद वाले को पहले यूरोप में 140 यूरो (लगभग 12,460 रुपये) में पेश किया गया था। इसे एटमॉस ब्लू, ड्रीमी पिंक और मेट्योर ब्लैक कलर ऑप्शन में बेचा जाता है।

ऐसा लगता है कि एचएमडी अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों में एक ही स्मार्टफोन के लिए अलग-अलग नाम इस्तेमाल करता है। उम्मीद है कि पल्स को अमेरिका में एचएमडी वाइब नाम से लॉन्च किया जाएगा।

HMD Arrow में HMD Pulse जैसे ही स्पेसिफिकेशन होने की उम्मीद है। Pulse एंड्रॉयड 14 पर चलता है और इसमें 6.65-इंच HD+ (720x1,612 पिक्सल) LCD स्क्रीन है जिसमें 600 निट्स पीक ब्राइटनेस और 90Hz रिफ्रेश रेट है। यह ऑक्टा-कोर 12nm Unisoc T606 चिप पर चलता है। इसमें 13-मेगापिक्सल का रियर कैमरा और 8-मेगापिक्सल का फ्रंट-फेसिंग कैमरा है।
